It worked for The Block so can it work for Celebrity Apprentice too?
Nine is running ads for its upcoming Reality series that indicate it will be five nights a week.
Given we’ve got just a few weeks in the ratings year it was beginning to become clear that the show would need more than once a week to eliminate all its contestants.
Network promos, which include Pauline Hanson being shot out of a cannon with the words “Please Explain” look pretty good.
The Board Room scene with Mark Bouris looks a lot slicker than the first season.
TV Tonight hears the Board Room scenes are a bunfight, with the celebs not holding back on their feelings about rival contestants.
Could be one to watch.

some of people are speculating that nine will go with reality all next year at 7pm. wonder what win network will do if this happens. could they move a current affair to 5pm to match up with 7 regional showing today tonight at 5pm as well. or could the move win local news to 5pm. that way both win and nine schedules will sync together all year in primetime.
If Pauline was worried about immigration numbers in general I don’t think it would be an issue. Remember her maiden speech in parliament was about Australia being swamped by Asians. Some people may not consider that racist. I do which is why I won’t be watching. I’m sure channel nine don’t care about diversity but if you look at idol or whatever signing contest is on at the moment you often see a much more representative picture of Auatralia. Watching channel Nine shows just seems odd to me as I live in a multicultural city and the shows they make don’t reflect that. Seven and ten are only slightly better but I Nines continued white washing seems so consistent that it appears to be policy.
I really don’t care how many nights a week this is going to be on, I will be busy.
I won’t bag any celeb in particular but there are some that just make my skin crawl.
I doubt chanel 9 could have put together a bigger bunch of boneheads if they actualy tried.
Should rate well.
and everyone stop being precious, Channel Nien doesn’t give a Flying f@#$ about
the “ethnic” demographic…
The show lists Pauline Hanson as “Politician” which is wrong it should be
Pauline Hanson “Professional Bludger”.
@billyc ummm Tracy Vo on Nine news?
It amazes me that so many people still tag Pauline Hanson as a racist. A persons attitude towards immigration does not make them a racist. Pauline is a very intelligent person, as well as warm and friendly. I wouldn’t mind betting she walks all over the other celebs on this show.
I saw the print ads in various PBL Media magazines where they say 7pm weeknights, but they also carried the combined Nine/WIN/NBN logo which would be mostly wrong. Like The Block this year, WIN Tas & WA would be the only regional stations that could air “Celebrity” Apprentice at 7pm with Nine. The rest of the WIN Network & NBN will have to push everything back by half-an-hour in order to fit it in – unless they dropped ACA for a while (which would be no great loss).
Well if you can name an Asian who has appeared on Channel Nine I’ll be more than happy to say I was wrong. I mean an Australian. I honestly can not think of anybody. but I’m happy to be proven wrong. I don’t just mean reality shows I mean drama, news, comedy.
I’m not criticising anyone for watching the Apprentice but given Hanson’s political views you can understand why a lot of people would rather not give her the time of day.
having it 5nights a week means they don’t have much faith in it!
Maybe I’m the wrong demographic but these ‘celebrities’ are a pretty lack lustre bunch – Crawford and Sailor are serial clowns and Capper just seems a dill. These sort of shows used to be the doman of Ch10 but it seems Ch9 doesn’t mind getting splinters from reaching to the bottom of the barrel.
should be a hoot
40-50yo apprentices? Most of these gooses already have good incomes. Give some kids a go you old w*nkers.
Warwick Capper in his tight gold shorts and Max Markson in his loud shirt have put me off for life (Ewwww!!). You’d have to tie me in a chair and force my eyelids open with matchsticks to get me to watch this crud.
We’ve never had a better reason to turn the TV off for half an hour. Anyone watching these Z-grade celebs has too much time on their hands. With daylight saving here, I’ll be off for a good walk and some fresh air!
The original celebrity apprentice is a once a week show, and it is hilarious! This year saw Meatloaf just about murder Gary Busey!
Why do networks here insist on ruining perfectly good shows? Why can’t they stick to the original tried and true versions of shows? I am so sick of being screwed around by the networks, they show nothing but contempt fir their viewers!
There a poster ad a Parramatta station that just says Weeknights at 7pm.. No coming soon on anything like that. When is this evening starting?!
@billy c – what do you mean about Asian people and Nine?
@David – even if it was Pauline in the bikini I wouldn’t watch the show!
I’m not going to watch as I object to Hanson being on it. I wonder if this will make much of a difference. I know channel nine doesn’t generally allow Asian people on its network but surely going one step further and putting Pauline on will lose them some viewers. 17% of the Melbourne and Sydney television audience has an Asian background. Still i guess it probably didn’t hurt dancing with the stars.
Diversity has been lacking on some shows, but I’m not sure I would go as far as your phrasing. Still, the way the audience views a network is very important.
Another promo with three close ups of bikini backsides is disappointing though….
I agree bringing back Sale of the century or the Price is Right for 2012 would do a lot to fix nine’s woes at 7pm since 2009.Either that or a Karl/Leila News/Chat show that they were about to start doing the minute news got out that Charlie Sheen was fired from two and a half men.
