Ryan Johnson lands US series

Ryan Johnson is the latest Aussie actor to land himself a role in a US series on Fairly Legal.

Ryan Johnson (Home and Away, Out of the Blue, SLiDE, Laid and The Secret Life of Us) is the latest Aussie actor to land himself a role in a US series.

Johnson will become a series regular on the USA Network’s second season of Fairly Legal. The series stars Sarah Shahi as a mediation lawyer in San Francisco.

He will play Ben Grogan, a ‘sharp, up-and-coming trial attorney with the knack for making money and who sees no shame in having been “that lawyer guy on the bus ads.” He isn’t as concerned with the right and wrongs of a situation as he is maximizing his financial gain. He isn’t afraid to speak the truth to power — or anyone else.’

Cable channel USA Network, which screens such shows as Psych, Burn Notice, White Collar, Covert Affairs and Monk, has re-tooled the drama with creator Michael Sardo stepping down as showrunner and to be replaced by Pushing Daisies executive producer Peter Ocko.

  1. First noticed him when he was shaving his legs to play a bicycle courier on Head Start.
And this man has done nothing but work hard, deliver the goods and keep going through one good performance after another.
    Go get ’em, Ryan!

  2. Now the country will go ape____ for this guy, even though hes been quietly going about his business for years now. ;)

Good for him, I too use to watch him on Headstart.
