UK Exec for SPAA Conference

Gareth Neame, previously the Managing Director of Carnival Films, responsible for Downton Abbey, is the keynote speaker at the SPAA Conference.

Gareth Neame, Managing Director UK, NBC Universal International TV Production will be the keynote speaker at the Screen Producers’ Association of Australia annual Conference.

Neame was previously the Managing Director of Carnival Films, the production company responsible for Downton Abbey.

Carnival, a leading British independent production company, was owned by Neame and Southern Star before being sold to NBCUniversal in 2008.

Prior to joining Carnival Films, Neame was Head of Drama Commissioning at the BBC and responsible for the development and production of such shows as Spooks, State of Play, Bodies, Outlaws, Hustle, New Tricks, Tipping the Velvet and Clocking Off.

Neame now oversees all television production initiatives in Drama, Comedy and Entertainment for NBCUniversal in the UK.

The SPAA Conference takes place in Sydney in mid-November.
