There are already three new specials coming, but now Absolutely Fabulous is reportedly planning a feature film too.

Jennifer Saunders plans to write a movie version once she has finished work on the Spice Girls stage musical Viva Forever.

BBC Films boss Christine Langan tells Deadline “I think she’s a genius. I can’t imagine anything more exciting than working with her.”

Ab Fab: The Movie will apparently kick off with Patsy and Edina waking up hungover in an drifting yacht in the middle of the ocean. Even worse, their phones can’t get a signal.

The first new special, which sees all the cast return, will air in the UK at Christmas.

  2. Considering the show has officially ended 2 or 3 times now, (with conflicting and quiet different “futures”), more ABFAB isn’t a big surprise.

    Hopefully it’ll be worth it.
    I still cannot understand the obsesstion with doing a “movie”.

  6. Cant wait hope the petshop boys make an appeance and play the track of the same name “absolutely fabulous”, that track was good back in the day, i think it could still work.

  7. While i’m very much looking forward to this, is it just me or does every U.K TV series that gets a movie made always bases it outside of the UK?
