Daybreak ‘down under’
Tourism Australia and QANTAS have joined up again, this time for ITV's breakfast show visiting our shores.

Anything Oprah can do, Daybreak can too…
ITV’s breakfast show is currently visiting our shores, broadcasting to the UK all week.
And like Ms. Winfrey, they’ve brought 100 members of their audience with them via QANTAS (lucky it wasn’t two weeks ago…..) and Tourism Australia.
Here’s the way they pitched it to viewers:
“50 lucky Daybreak viewers will arrive in Australia, each with a mate, to enjoy the country’s wonderful wildlife, beautiful beaches and incredible adventures. They’ll be welcomed by the friendly locals and get to enjoy the laidback Aussie lifestyle.”
Dame Edna is also involved. Of course.
The audience has once again been shuffled off to various locations. They are:
Sydney & Surrounds
Melbourne and the Great Ocean Road
Adelaide and Kangaroo Island
The Great Barrier Reef
Perth and Margaret River
Is the PM meeting this lot too?

Aw I’ve just come across this! I was one of the lucky winners who went to Queensland we had a fantastic time on Hamilton and hayman islands everyone made us so welcome. Would love to come back one day.
Great to hear!
@Dave you really dont want to see a clip of Daybreak.
Or perhaps even a ‘foreign’ country Dave.
I’d be interested to see a clip of the show being broadcast here. Always interesting to see how a foriegn country do a show out of Australia.
@Secret Squïrrel: sure is
The Warrnambool Standard says 20 people visited the Great Ocean Road yesterday.
Time to get out the ol’ cork hat, Vegemite and Fosters! Fair dinkum, it’s bonza cobber!
So not many will be watching this in the UK then – Daybreak rates poorly so the 50 winners might just be it’s only viewers!
@David Knox well done for going against the usual narrative for Daybreak stories.
@Tomothy – is that Australia’s only palindromic suburb?
Mmm, pommy shark food…
@steve sydney
I agree!! Breakfast, what sort of name is that! Defiantly a name change for channel 10 needed!
Do we have a intenery where they are going to be?
Daybreak is a much better name than Breakfast
Jeez, corks on strings and Dame Edna, stereotypical indeed. (there I spelled it – hopefully correctly)
I read about this on AdelaideNow, apparantly they are coming to my suburb (I live at the beach), so I’ll keep an eye out.
Can anyone spell “Stereotypical”?
