Deborah Knight let go by TEN
Deborah Knight parts ways with TEN after 13 years with the network.

Last month a spokeswoman for TEN said: “We are working with Deb Knight to identify the right project for her talents,” but today the former TEN News presenter is reported to have parted ways with the network.
Knight was a co-presenter on TEN’s Sydney News bulletin until Sandra Sully assumed the role when the network axed its long-running late night News.
She was with TEN for 13 years as a reporter and newsreader, with stints in Canberra and Los Angeles.
The Australian reports she offered to go back on the road or take another role, but TEN executives chose to let her go.
She also had to audition for a role on Breakfast, but was unsuccessful.
Industry sources said she was being considered for jobs at other networks.
Melbourne presenter George Donikian recently left TEN after 20 years with the network, following on-going changes to the presenting line-up while the contract for Ron Wilson will not be renewed.

She did a very good job on “Today” this morning. She’s a keeper, Channel 9.
I can’t believe Deb Knight has gone from 5pm News…big mistake I really miss her and yes I do like Sandra.
I also think not re-newing Ron Wilson contract next year is a mistake…

Now, if only they’d do this to the 7 PM project… sorry, the Project (like “high school homework project”) – oh, wait, it’s one of the few things people now watch on Channel 10.
They should not have let deb off news at 5, not the same without her
