ELEVEN stays fresh

Premiere episodes of Neighbours, Supernatural, Smallville, The Office and American Horror Story continue next week.

I’m pleased to report that first-run episodes of favourite ELEVEN shows will be continuing next week, as we enter summer ratings.

Neighbours, Supernatural, Smallville, The Office, American Horror Story, The Cleveland Show, The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson and So You Think You Can Dance all continue.

Other shows remain in repeat without any significant change from current schedules.

Given we will be in non-ratings I’m not too sure what the strategy is for running Neighbours. The show has often run beyond the end of ratings but now it delivers no Drama points -it’s certainly a plus for fans.

  1. Supernatural goes for a midseason break on December 4th but returns in early January. So theoretically for Eleven, there will only be a gap of 3-4 weeks with no episodes.

  2. I tried to get into American Horror Story, but the show is a mess, the nudity is a lot tamer than I thought and there’s not enough in the concept, to be interesting for multiple seasons.

  3. @ Bella. I too agree, that Saturday nights for 11 are dead they clearly have overloaded on Fraser and Raymond. i had a look on Wikipedia of the types of shows which CBS and Paramount have in their back catalogue i cant think of them of the top of my head but i am sure they are better then just Raymond and Fraser. It is kind of limiting that 11 is a joint venture between CBS and Ten because of the kind of shows which they can air. On the rest well American Horror Story keeps getting better and better will watch this week. 11 at the moment the best channel on FTA, then ABC News 24.

  4. I had a feeling they would continue their shows over summer, or so far. I mean why wouldn’t they?! we are behind with Office and Smallville so of course they would continue with that. Supernatural they are a couple of weeks infront of us but if they have a week off then we would play that extra ep in their break and then be a few days behind, but if they take more than a week of (which they might) then Eleven will just throw on double simpsons or have a double Smallville.

@ Bella – I agree, I mean if they are gonna make it ‘Retro’ night then why not move Stargate to 8:30 saturdays followed by some other old show and then a old 80’s or 90’s movie at 10:30, leave Buffy and Angel for sunday night. they should NOT be playing old movies on sundays, they should just stick to ones from 2000’s to present and leave old movies for saturdays. now I say move Stargate to Saturdays cause this channel is called ’11’ or ‘Eleven’ not GO or GEM or 7Mate! its right next to main channels 7, 9 and 10 and should be treated as such, you wouldn’t see some old show like Stargate play on the 3 main channels would ya?! why not play new shows like Dollhouse and Dexter on Thursdays? make it more of a proper main channel.

  5. love love love american horror story! i have told all my friends about it but they wont watch it because they dont believe me that its the best show ever! Really looking forward to seeing how the series progresses. ah, i love it so much! :D

  6. Word from Neighboursfans.com is that the season finale will be on Friday December 9, with the 2012 return on Monday January 9. Neighbours traditionally airs for a couple of weeks through the non-ratings season. I’d like to think Eleven will air classic episodes while the current season is off-air, but I highly doubt that will happen.

  7. This is good news, even if the ‘fresh’ eps have been sitting on the shelves for sometime already LOL

Smallville is a year old, The Office is still behind the US (not sure by how much) The other fresh fast tracked shows will be having their final 2011 eps in December but at least we don’t have to wait months for them. I’m not surprised Ferguson will continue, it’s not like they can hold a talk show which need to be shown quickly or it looses its relevance.

Like you I’m surprised Neighbors is continuing over the summer, I hope they change the rules to give local shows drama points for being on the digital channels.

Looks like ch11 will be the place to be this summer!

  8. Yay! The brilliant American Horror Story continues, it seems to me that thiis and The slap have been the only decent drama on t.v. in the last couple of weeks.

  9. Probably since ELEVEN has started to increase it’s margin over 7mate, the suits in charge finally make a wise decision and stick to a more consistent programming to ensure it’s lead moving into 2012..

Besides AHS is my new favourite show and it’s only really just started. Tech savvy fans would hardly be willing to wait around for another 8 weeks for a new episode consider it’s already a few weeks behind from the US
