Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has cancelled her remaining engagements in Australia and will fly home to the US with sister Khloe tomorrow.

Kardashian was due to appear to the Melbourne Cup Carnival with an appearance at the Swisse vitamins marquee on Saturday, rumoured to be worth a $150,000 fee.

News Limited reports Swisse tried to get visiting sister Khloe as an eleventh hour substitute but were also turned down.

“I am very disappointed that I am unable to attend the Swisse marquee but I hope to come back and work with the Swisse team at another point in time,” she told News Limited.

The sisters also had a shopping centre appearance to fulfill.

The U-turn follows statements earlier today on Sunrise that, “I really wanted to stick to my commitments to come out here.

“I love our fan base out here.

“Of course I do really want some time to myself and it has been tough, but I didn’t wanna bail on everyone and, you know, skip out on this commitment.”

Since arriving in Australia yesterday Kim Kardashian has been followed by paparazzi and questioned over her break-up with Kris Humphries.

  1. With how many comments Kim attracts with her antics then I think she has everyone exactly where she wants them, $150K maybe just too small for her now. Her soon to be ex seems like a drop kick.

  4. I enjoyed watching Keeping up with Kardashians a while ago, but after her antics the last few days I am totally put off. P*** off back home and stay off our screens, you’re nothing but a drama queen

  7. I think she fled back to the US precisely because her star is rising so high back there on the back of the fake split of the fake marriage. No good being stuck in the antipodes when million $ interviews are waiting back home.

  10. She’s more committed to her business empire than she is to her husband, that’s for sure. I imagine she has a lot of explaining to do to the E! Network when she gets back home.

  11. I agree with Catherine, Sarah Jessica Parker was a gracious and polite guest. I though she was fantastic on The Project and she stayed for two segments, almost unheard of on this program. I suppose Kim has constant commitments, but she was the one who filed the divorce papers. Wouldn’t it have been smarter to have waited until she returned to the US to do this? Not that I mind, I am not particularly fond of her or the rest of her greedy, media obsessed family, but I think it’s just bad form to run off crying after so much money has been spent just getting her here.

  13. she and her family are fake and a complete waste of time. my younger brother is obsessed with them and i dont get it, what exactly did they do?? there a bunch of nobody’s who will do anything for a buck… including spending 20 million dollars on a wedding, all for the attention. there are so many people out there who are actually making a differance in this world, yet all the media seems to want to talk about is some ugly mole who has nothing to offer the world.

    i dont understand why people spend so much time and money on these “realtiy stars” who wont go away….

  14. @ catherine, I think Kochie has his hand on it. The Sunrise interview was very tame. I think KK realises that the public has seen through her sham and has done a runner. She has gone into damage control,
