As programming goes, this is certainly bizarre…
On Saturday night, SBS ONE will screen Sarah Watt’s Look Both Ways -the same night it airs on ABC2.
SBS will screen the film at 10:20pm, ninety minutes after it airs on ABC2.
But in truth the film was originally commissioned by SBS.
Look Both Ways – Using an innovative mix of animation and live action, Sarah Watt’s first feature film explores the lives of a number of damaged people over one hot weekend in Adelaide. Photographer Nick visits a doctor for a routine medical and is given a devastating diagnosis. Meryl, returning from a funeral, has until Monday to finish her project or lose her job. And Andy is dealing with the news of his girlfriend’s unplanned pregnancy. Winner of four 2005 AFI Awards, including Best Direction and Best Film. Stars Justine Clarke, William McInnes and Anthony Hayes.
Last Saturday SBS screened her other feature My Year without Sex.
Van Diemen’s Land, the true story of Alexander Pearce, will now air a week later.

That’s good news for me ‘cos I’ll be able to watch the F1 qually and then switch straight over.
