No deal say parents of ‘Bali boy’

Indonesian lawyers for the 14 year old boy facing drugs charges in Bali have issued a Press Release that vigorously denies they have secured a media deal.

Indonesian lawyers for the 14 year old boy facing drugs charges in Bali have issued a Press Release that vigorously denies they have secured a media deal to sell their story.

It follows a Nine spokesperson categorically denying any deal with the family.

There are concerns a deal with media could jeopardise the case which will see Prosecutors making their sentence demand on Friday.

On the weekend it was reported that Nine had a deal with the family between $200,000 – $300,000.

But while a deal may not have been secured with the family, Nine has been pursuing the story, along with other media.

Sources confirmed to TV Tonight, Nine had been “chasing the story hard.”

Celebrity public relations agent Grant Vandenberg also said he had ”discussions” with Nine and many other media organisations but had not done a deal.

He did not rule out a paid appearance for the boy and his family after his trial is concluded in Bali this week.
