Voting for the IF Awards ‘Out of the Box’ nominees closes tomorrow.
This unusual award will recognise a small screen actor who is tipped to make the leap to the big screen.
Last year’s winner, Packed to the Rafters’ Ryan Corr will present an award.
Corr received a one-year full-time scholarship at LA’s Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatre and has a role in the forthcoming Australian film, Not Suitable For Children, alongside Ryan Kwanten.
In the Out of the Box category there are six contenders:
They are Alison Bell (Laid, pictured), Blake Davis (Tangle, The Slap), Annie Maynard (Spirited), Jessica Tovey (Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo), Anna McGahan (Underbelly: Razor) and Todd Lasance (Cloudstreet, Rescue Special Ops, Crownies).
Voting will close at 11:59pm on Sunday 6th November at www.ifawards.comÂ
The winner will be announced at this year’s Awards to be held at Sydney’s Luna Park on Wednesday 16th November and hosted by Eddie Perfect. They will air later on SBS.

Where are Amanda Bishop or Phil Lloyd from ‘At Home With Julia’? Did that show not make the airdate cutoff or something?
it would be much more accurate to vote on which ‘film star’ is most likely appear on Packed to the Rafters or Crownies in the hope of re-invigorating their career.
frankly i find the whole idea of this award a little bit insulting. we all know that the upper echelon of television is far more creatively impressing and um watched by infinitely more people than australian film. its an arrogant award.
