Pauline Hanson eliminated from Celebrity Apprentice

Pauline Hanson exits Celebrity Apprentice after declining to throw Jason Coleman "under the bus."

Pauline Hanson was eliminated from Celebrity Apprentice by boss Mark Bouris last night after a boardroom scene in which she declined to thrown her competition “under the bus.”

The former politician lost out to choreographer Jason Coleman, who has already survived eliminations over former teammates Warwick Capper, Didier Cohen, Lisa Curry, Max Markson and Wendell Sailor. On four of those occasions Coleman was either project manager or creative director of challenges, putting him firmly in the spotlight.

But while Bouris questioned his approach he complimented him on bringing more to the table.

Pauline Hanson was also congratulated for her spirit in supporting her project managers but was deemed to have contributed less to challenges than Coleman.

Hanson declined to criticise Coleman saying he was tough but got results.

“He’s very dedicated to his profession and he’s a hard worker. He wants the best out of people,” she said.

“I can’t criticise him for that because I’m exactly the same. You want people around you who are going to perform and do the job.”

Coleman admitted he was worried about his reputation.

“I didn’t ask to come on this show. I was invited here. And I’m really worried. 4 creative challenges (lost) in a row and I’m really worried about my brand,” he said.

“It’s a double-edged sword being me. My mum said that since I was a kid. The best thing about being Jason is also the worst thing about being Jason.”

While several celebrities have potentially seen their brand tarnished by the machinations of the series, Pauline Hanson has likely seen hers rise, just as her appearance achieved on the debut season of Dancing with the Stars.

Not throwing Coleman ‘under the bus’ when she was about to be eliminated contrasted with several of her former teammates in previous boardrooms.

The final challenge for Jason Coleman, Julia Morris, Jesinta Campbell and Shane Crawford takes place tonight and sees the return of former contestants on Nine.

  1. baffled, why wasent jason fired long ago, his shifty unpleasent not to be trustered , his brand? i would not have him any where my children, something is wrong, Mr Bouris, Julia Morris or Shane Crawford has to win now, please.

  2. I just watched the Apprentice thing for the first time tonight and it is obvious that the Hines B#^ch is a plant of some kind,no human being could get to her age if they were really like that, even a Kardashian or a Hilton is not that full of the proverbial….please someone tell me she is not really like this?

  3. I would have fired Jason ages ago! He’s shifty and can’t be trusted. Can’t believe that Pauline got fired instead! Shows how unfair the judging is. I believe it’s all scripted anyway!!!

  4. I find it fascinating that Jason keeps going on about how important his “brand” is to him. This show must have done more damage to his brand than anything else. He impresses as a controlling narcissist, and I certainly wouldn’t want to have him in my organization. He doesn’t have the humility to be an “apprentice”, cannot work as part of a team, and constantly blames others for his own ineptitude. It also raises the question as to Mr. Bouris’s brand. His constant willingness to continue “employing” Jason asks the question as to his decision making. The last challenge, in particular, showed Jason to be inappropriate with children, who described him as “mean” and angry. As this challenge was about entertaining children, it seems bizarre that this, the adult puns written into the script, and the inappropriateness of some of the material, were almost totally overlooked by Mr. Bouris – very strange decision making

  5. Much as I dislike her policies and the fact she is somehow becoming beloved as a reality TV star (seemingly allowing everyone to forget all the evil things she’s said in the past) at least Pauline was a team player. Jason’s ego is out of control. This man is in desperate need of therapy. I was actually hoping Pauline would win!

(Breaking chracter to yell at the kids not paying him enough attention during his play was classic. If they were entertained they wouldn’t have been talking amongst themselves)

  6. I don’t watch this show but has anyone else realised Nines ads give away who is getting fired ?
After monday nights episodes an ad was run during TBBT and it had either Jason or Pauline getting fired.Problem is it’s given away when they show Bouris saying “You’re fired”,you can see his body was angled to the right so you knew Pauline got booted.

  7. I though that Jason should have gone in the last two challengers. He made decisions that lead directly to the team not winning. However, I can still see Mr Bouris thinking that Jason has the drive and willpower to warrent keeping him. In this particular instance the difference between him and Pauline are chalk and cheese. Pauline is a good worker horse, but she is no strategic leader. Jason has proven time and time again that he is at least willing to step up to the occassion, so he should be rewarded from that perspective.

Jason as a control freak is another matter.

  8. In fairness to Jason I think a big reason he lost the challenge was because he was given Lara Bingle as a guest team member and she was absolutely useless.
