FOX Footy has confirmed that AFL commentator Mike Sheahan will remain with On The Couch alongside Gerard Healy and Paul Roos.
Yesterday Sheahan announced he was stepping down as Chief Football Writer at the Herald Sun after 18 years.
Rod Law, Director Fox Sports, Melbourne, said: “Mike Sheahan has been a leading AFL writer for more than 40 years and is an Australian sports writing icon. His passion for the game makes him an integral part of the FOX Footy team and we are thrilled he’s remaining with us to share his insights and knowledge”.
Sheahan will also produce interview series Open Mike in 2012.
Sheahan added, “I’m really looking forward to continuing with On The Couch and the Open Mike series on the FOX Footy channel. It’s going to be an exciting year and a lot of fun.”
