TEN has now released its programming for the first week of summer.
First run content includes the premiere of It’s a Knockout, plus Merlin, Terra Nova, Ringer, Tour of Duty: Australia’s Secret War, Recruits Paramedics, Keeping Up With The Joneses and the Free to Air premiere of The Glades starring Australia’s Matt Passmore.
TEN will also replay Offspring from the telemovie pilot, which is a smart way of attracting a new audience to the show.
It will also include the final episode of Good News World -the last ever?
NB: Current programming info does not detail NCIS: LA and Law & Order: S.V.U as repeats but these are presumably errors.

Still think the It’s A Knockout return is good, even though the cheapskates at FremantleMedia Australia think filming in Asia is cheap? (I still say they should have shot the new series at Dural, NSW. After all the the original 80s version is in Dural!)
@Josh, in Sydney we had an ad for a new episode next Friday.
It’s a Knockout is the best thing on Ten this summer but I bet anything it just won’t have the same substance, aura and energy as the original and for that reason it will fail. Wish they would show the repeats nothing beats that.
@ Andrew – at the end of this weeks House it had the “House will be back in 2012” message, which has been the same case for other shows such as Hawaii Five-O
@ Jake – me to!! Love White Collar and TEN mistreats it during ratings season with Netball Test Series and the late timeslot, so lets hope it doesn’t get worse just because viewer share doesn’t count.
Repeating Offspring 4 nights a week? Really why on earth for? It’s a flop drama that got low ratings the first time round, I’d hate to see what it will get now.
Quite obviously the new management want to send Ch 10 into the ground for their own personal gain maybe so they can later buy it on the cheap.
Repeats of a dud like Offspring will be lucky to get 300K over summer and even that’s pushing it. Nobody watched the first time and they won’t watch now.
Happy that Merlin is continuing. I’m not enamoured with Terra Nova & Ringer, but I’ll keep watching since Ten is playing them out. I agree that it would be a good time to replay Monk & Psych. They’re both such great shows.
I get the feeling TBA on Saturday will be Mean Girls, Happy Glimore, and Love Actually.
I hope White Collar is continuing late on Wednesday nights through summer.
Amazing Ten still has all this first run content, I thought it would have been used up by now on the multichannels.
Sunday is a pretty good schedule for a few weeks but Ten could certainly be fasttracking a few new things. Also, I really hope that this is the last episode of Good News World and that Ten come back with Good News Week. I don’t understand why some people think that it’s dated. People watch it because it was funny. It had more laughs in it than any other show of the week.
For me, there’s just nothing in that schedule that I will watch. I remember last summer that because the stuff on the main channels were so crap that a lot of viewers switched over to digital channels and we saw this big increase in viewers and shares on the digitals. It was because the main channel offering was bad but I also think summer is a time when people who don’t normally switch to digitals do switch to digitals. Could possibly happen again.
Also there’s no House, they moved Rules of Engagement so you would think they would do the same with House. Thats the only weird thing about their schedule
Not a bad looking Summer. Hopefully there is more new content shown from January on though. Highly recommend The Glades to all as I have watched the first season on W and have become highly addicted (with season 2 starting next month). Also great to see that Terra Nova and Merlin are continuing even though ratings season is over. TEN would have been smart to bring back So You Think You Can Dance Australia during the Summer to increase their viewers for the new year (especially seems though it was rumored to return with their ad’s 2 months ago, as well as the fact that this is the perfect time to try and renew a series that didn’t do as well during ratings season – which is what Big Brother U.S. does on CBS).
No More Reality for Ten Until The Biggest Loser Returns in Late January.
Ah good, started watching The Glades a while ago but forgot about it, will get to watch the rest of the season now. Smart to put Offspring on, it’s the only Aussie drama they have now so they need it to rate next year.
I really wish Ten would start Monk & Psych from the very start and in the case of Monk actually finish it off. Here in SA pretty sure we’re stuck at season 3.
Im looking foward to its a knockout. Oh good glad they are replaying offspring. I was a late comer and used to flick to it during ads because I used to watch something else. I only really watched the last few eps of series 2.
TEN are showing New episodes of Law and Order: SVU? I find that hard to believe
And what About New Episodes of Modern Family?
Can’t wait for “It’s A Knockout”. Good show to have during summer.
good to see ten continuing with Terra Nova, especially given that season 1 is due to wrap in a few weeks (only 13 episodes due to other network commitments this season).
i think new episodes of Glee and Hawaii Five O would be beneficial to attracting audiences to the show – they haven’t really been rating well lately.
I’m glad about Terra Nova. I might have tried Offspring but not on Monday or Thursday.
Not too bad a schedule at all! Great that they’re continuing with Merlin, Terra Nova and Ringer, and the Glades looks like a decent series.
Much better schedule than Seven’s and looks more interesting than Nine’s
Good to see Ten getting some new shows on tv for summer- Can’t wait for It’s A Knockout and might try The Glades…
I just want Dexter back on 11.
It will be interesting to to see how ten goes with so much regular first run content against average competition Will they improve? Will the audience give them a go after such a disastrous year?
Wish they would slot in “in plain sight” loved that show..
Good to see they are gonna continue showing Terra Nova until it’s mid Dec final. Seems like a lot less re-runs than Nine. re showing Offspring might be a good move to help numbers next year and finally The Glades, great show pity they haven’t aired in sooner on FTA. Even PayTV is only about to get S2.
I hope GNWorld ends, TEN bring back GNWeek in 2012!
