X Factor hits 2m as Reece wins

The X Factor pulled 2m viewers for the moment Reece was announced winner, with Seven storming to a huge Tuesday share.

The finale of The X Factor pulled 2m viewers for The X Factor The Winner announced.

It was the best number for the show all season, with 1.72m averaged across the bulk of the finale.

Seven stormed to a 37% share for Tuesday, well ahead of Nine’s 21.2% and TEN’s 21.1%.

Its other winners were Seven News (1.15m), Today Tonight (1.06m), Home and Away (1.04m) and Happy Endings (989,000).

Best for Nine were Nine News (1.03m), ACA (929,000), The Big Bang Theory (860,000, 834,000) and Two and a Half Men (801,000). Survivor was 380,000.

NCIS (725,000) beat Junior MasterChef (723,000) on TEN followed by NCIS: LA (592,000) and The Project (583,000).

ABC News was 933,000 for ABC1 followed by Grumpy Guide to Food (612,000), 7:30 (597,000) and Foreign Correspondent (532,000).

David Attenborough: Death of the Oceans? was 280,000 and Immigration Nation was 235,000 for SBS.

Neighbours topped multichannels on 257,000.

  1. Good that Reece won, at least they can market him overseas, not the other two … definitely not Andrew! I refuse to believe that Andrew was not voted for by some computer system rigged by uni students as a joke …

    Happy Endings is just an attempt at recreating Friends … bored already!

  2. Well deserved!! Such an awesome show this year. I watched every episode and was thoroughly entertained from start to finish. Can’t wait for next year’s season!

    In the meantime, the US and UK versions still have a while to go before the finals
