Guy Pearce has landed a nomination in the Screen Actors Guild Awards for his performance in the miniseries Mildred Pierce.

Modern Family topped the TV nominees with five nominations for best comedy ensemble, and nods for Ty Burrell, Eric Stonestreet, Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara.

30 Rock and Dexter scored three nominations, with new entries from Suits, American Horror Story, and Game of Thrones.

New US drama Homeland was a surprising omission given its critical acclaim.
