Excess Baggage participant Kevin Federline has been rushed to hospital suffering chest pains and a “roaring pulse.”

The Daily Telegraph reports Federline, 33, was attended to by FremantleMedia paramedics after filming a challenge with the AFL‘s new Greater Western Sydney team at Doonside.

The ex-husband of Britney Spears is one of several celebrities appearing in Nine’s new weight-loss series. He began the series with a Starting Weight of 105.4kg and 38.8% body fat.

Federline was previously hospitalised during filming in the Kimberleys.

The show premieres next Monday night.

  1. I’ve always worried about the stress that these weight loss shows put on the contestant’s bodies. I’m no doctor but surely losing so much weight in such a short space of time can’t be good for you.

I’m surprised this sort of thing hasn’t happened before.

  2. Saw this reported on the channel nine news as a potential heart attack. He wasn’t even hooked up to a heart monitor. Bring in media watch – not the paramedics.

  3. I would hardly call 105kg hugely obese. In comparison to other people who have appeared on weight loss shows who are often 140kg plus, he’s a relative lightweight. Hope he’s OK, the pace must be too intense for him.

  4. As soon as I saw the headline of this story I thought exactly the same as the other comments. Be a man and toughen up, a few chest pains never hurt anybody.

  5. Not to take away from a serious issue but it this to drum up hype in the media just like biggest loser story did today? According to the telegraph article the picture was supplied by Nine and the paramedics are sourced by FremantleMedia…
