Hot in Cleveland has been renewed by cable network TV Land.
The series starring Betty White, Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick and Jane Leeves wins a fourth season.
A spin-off, featuring Cedric the Entertainer (real name Cedric Antonio Kyles) as Rev. Boyce, is also proceeding, co-written by Cleveland creator Suzanne Martin.
“Cedric is hilarious and I’m so happy to do this show with him,” Martin has previously said. “We are going to have a lot of fun developing and exploring his role as a minister.”
Hot in Cleveland, voted Favourite Cable TV Comedy at this week’s US People’s Choice Awards, airs in Australia on Nine.

@KFed e.g. no laugh track, jerky camera angles like those shows were made by high school work experience kids. Not for me, no thanks.
@baxter “Unprofessional production values”? Say what?
Great to hear. Some of us prefer this style of comedy ie. Hot in Cleveland and Big Bang to the unprofessional production values, antics and stupidity of Modern Family and The Office.
Really. I watched the first 8 episodes and 8 episodes of old person sex jokes was enough. I can’t believe they are making a fourth year of it.
It does follow some tried and true sit com conventions but Betty White is always brillant, so I’m glad to she will remain on television with its renewal.
Fantastic news!
This show really found its groove in season 2.
I have just finished watching the second season on DVD and couldn’t stop watching. It took me just 2 days to watch it all.
Some great guest stars in s2.
Also, there is a bonus ep on the s2 dvd set, the pilot of the new tv land series “The Exes”. It stars Kirsten Johnson, Donald Faison and Wayne Knight and it shows real promise. It was quite funny.
Bring on many more seasons.
renewed?!? this didn’t deserve one season let alone four!
