The Today show begins broadcasting from a bigger studio with a new look and a new logo.

So pleased to see the end of the Today‘s show uninspired set.
This morning it begins broadcasting from a bigger studio with a new look and a new logo.
By the looks of this preview there are apricot hues on the set, several segment presentation areas, big plasma screens, a large red couch with a white coffee table and a cooking area fitted with many shiny silver appliances.
“These actually work, these ones,” says Lisa Wilkinson.
Definitely an improvement, but is it just me or is some of it channelling Sunrise?

It could be any set from any American TV Breakfast Show.
They have just copied the Good Morning America studio set.
Get rid of Ben Fordham he is a complete W*nker.
The set is absolutely horrible, not one original thought in the whole studio. Typical Channel Nine, have had an original idea or show since the late 90’s.
Wow….people need to get a grip.
I dare say Mornings will be broadcast from a variation of the same set
thats my guess anyway….. sunrise and the morning show do it.
Adding to what I said before not only are they channeling sunrise but it looks like they’ve some old furniture from ABC Breakfast as well, I know they are cash strapped at the Nine Network/ Wollongong based Win Corportation but do they need to recycle from there old set’s
To what another valid point that was made Jo Lamble moved last year from Sunrise to Today as it was the only way to keep Dr Michael Carr-Gregg from moving to Channel 10

I like the actual makeover but yes, the colours are too much like that other show. They could have thrown in more blue and yellows just to make it different.
if you guys want to be picky…. sunrise kinda looks like the USA today show!….
really.. who cares! it looks fresh and new and looks good. alot of other morning shows around the planet uses orange and reds… its not a new concept.
With the comments made already, approx 95% believe the new Today Show fit-out looks / feels like Sunrise and/or do not like it. Channel 9, are you listening ???
deedeedragons- They can always look at the logo in the bottom right hand corner whil sunrise does not have a seven logo on the screen
Besides the logo, I don’t actually think it’s very Sunrise at all… Logo is Sunrise-ish, and set’s very GMA. Good look all in all. Tad bright though!
They should have brought back their old loft apartment style set, looked much better.
absolutely horrible to look at . it just looked too similar to sunrise . there is way too much yellow. even the new logo looks like sunrise logo . what were they thinking . very depressing to watch . ever since that lady lisa took over today it looks and feeels and is the twin of sunrise . yuk. and wahts wiht the siize of the kitchen its massive why its not a cooking show . they all look like they are sitting on a flying saucer and about to take off . why can they not do something different .? shocker
It was very hard to watch the Today show today. Sorry but its way too bright and very Sunrise like. I won’t be watching in the near future. Its an improvement on the old but the music choice was horrible and well the whole set reeks of too much orange. Its like Seven and Nine have switched over. The Seven News Brisbane set is Blue while the Today show has gone red/orange. Can’t stand Karl and the 2 Richards. So you won’t be luring me Nine.
Wow, Studio 2! They’ve been in Studio 1 for yeeeeeears… which begs the question… where are they going to put Sonia and David? In the other half of S2? Surely they’re too big to fit into S1?
Terrible! Today needed a change, but not a change into a bad tacky copy of Sunrise. The blue hues were cold but now it’s ugly and just a bit mixed up. Needed to be bold and go somewhere different, not use the yellows/orange/red from Sunrise, and even the sun behind today.
Much better. The awful set was the worst part of the show.
today need to hit the refresh button on childish most hit you tube clips, T signs, veiwer emails, etc etc…all rubbish ..and also get rid of ben fordam
I just wanted to ad that it looks just like the NBC today logo but twenty people have beaten me to it.

What a cheap copy, even the sunrise logo behind the word Today, yeesh,
They should of used the word “Desperate” in their 9 letter word for channel 9 campaign
The logo is the same as NBC’s Today show logo, I was a bit taken back by the colour of the graphic’s at first, the weather graphic’s underneath the time need to be a little bit clearer as you can see the temp but not what type day eg; cloudy,rain etc.. I do like the look of the set hopefully they will take advantage of the size an use it.
this set just re confirms my opinion that Today have no creativity at all. How can they feel good about themselves. First they rip off the Sunrise format and now they ge a look a like set.
Carbon copy in the hope of confusing the audience into thinking they are watching Sunrise.
