A new coat of paint is coming…

Psst! The new-look TV Tonight is just coming, as soon as the paint is dry.

Ok guys, version 3.0 of TV Tonight is imminent -just in time for the ratings year.

It’s been just over 3 years since the site was refreshed, so it’s time to add a few extra features.

All the things you are familiar with will remain: News, Programming, Pay TV, Reviews, Ratings etc. Your feedback during the recent TV Tonight Awards has assisted in this.

I’m very aware that we are often reluctant to embrace change so I have sought to update without going overboard.

The new site will also require you to register an ID with a valid email in order to participate in Comments. I believe this will help lift the tone of online discussions. It goes without saying that your email address remains private. Your cookies should remember you so that you don’t have to keep logging in.

There are bound to be a few hiccups in the transition, so the site will soft-launch in Beta mode.

And lastly, right across next week I am publishing the third annual Programmers’ Wrap -a series of major interviews with Programmers from all the networks. These will be extensive articles, chockful of news and insights about the year ahead.

TV Tonight remains the only platform in Australia -in any medium- that offers these back to back interviews with the people in charge of our schedules. They have a lot to say and there are scoops that have not been revealed elsewhere and plenty of hints too.

By the time everything is unwrapped I trust you will continue to value the site and our shared passion for all things telly.

Cheers, David

  1. Hi David. It’s perty. Just a couple of things:
The contact form is not available on the contact page. That’s why I’m leaving this message here. Also, under the SBS tag – Luke Gamble’s “Pet” Adventures should actually be “Vet”. Cheers.

  2. andy, nobody is “whinging”. Some of us work in the industry and would prefer to maintain their anonimity and keep their jobs. What is foolish about this?
