The promos had tipped it for Mondays and next week, Seven launches new US drama, Revenge.

A mix of mystery and soap, the series will air from 8:30pm, smack bang against the premiere of Alcatraz on Nine.

Emily Thorne is the newest arrival in the Hamptons. By all appearances, she’s a friendly and sophisticated ‘girl next door,’ but with a dark family history, Emily is anything but what she seems. Seventeen years ago, her father was framed for a crime by neighbours he trusted, and sentenced to life. Now she’s back under an assumed identity with one goal… Revenge.

Meanwhile How I Met Your Mother has double episodes from 9:30pm with Please Marry My Boy moving to a new regular timeslot of 8:30pm Wednesdays from February 15.

  2. I watched the first 2 episodes of revenge and wasn’t impressed….. its has too much of a soapie feel for me. Very days of our lives.

    Alcatraz was ok too. Altho the basis story line is a bit of a stretch.

    If i had to choose one it would be Alcatraz. But saying that i will probably watch media watch and Q&A anyway as have seen them both.

  3. I’m not going to bother with Alcatraz – it’s a stupid timeslot for it and it’ll be moved after a couple of weeks. I don’t think it’s going to get the numbers to remain at 8:30 on any weeknight but it’d prob do well enough at 9:30 on Thu.

  4. Revenge is awesome. Watch it people. Alcatraz is awesome too, but it is on Nine so god knows how long it’ll be on for before they take it off. But what the hell Seven. Please Marry My Boy to 8.30 Wednesday now. It’s pure trash and you have Once Upon A Time, Criminal Minds, and Downton Abbey. Why waste a timeslot for that crap when you have these great programs to air?

  5. Well, the PVR will have to earn its keep. Only one thing Salvage Code Red is on and also Hamish Macbeth,all on at the same time decisions on what to watch live and which will miss out probably Hamish as it is only on 4:3 format.
    Why do they do it? Please marry my boy etc on Mondays now after a couple of weeks it moves.

    I wonder if the two series live up to their hype ?

  6. Revenge keeps getting better and better … even a little something in there for the gay viewers …
    There are a lot of similar shows this season Revenge and Ringer … (Revenge wins hands down!) … Once Upon A Time and Grimm … (Once Upon A Time for me)…
    Then the other brilliant originals Pan Am and Hart Of Dixie … they are both brilliant!

  8. Hi David, you’ve typed 9:30 twice in the last paragraph. Going off information by other sites in addition to this one, the PMMB timeslot is 8:30, and the fresh HIMYM episodes are 9:30

  11. Revenge is awesome and can’t wait to watch it from the beginning again.

    David i heard HIMYM had double episodes Mondays and Wednesdays with PMMB on at 8:30pm Wednesday.

    So Seven where is Downton? Criminal Minds? Once Upon a Time? What will go post Rafters?

  12. I’m not watching either Revenge or Alcatraz on Monday I’m bummed about the latter but not the former. I won’t be surprised if a lot of people watch it however.
