A documentary crew filming for production company Cordell Jigsaw were the targets of an attack in Alice Springs.
AAP reports two women who appeared to be drunk allegedly set upon staff at the Aurora Hotel (pictured) at about 6.30pm on Wednesday.
The doco, Dumb, Drunk and Racist, which has been commissioned by ABC2 involves four Indians taken around Australia to investigate stereotypes about Australians.
Nick Murray, managing director of Cordell Jigsaw, said of the women,”They got very upset and attacked the crew with rocks and got very aggressive.
“They broke some of our camera gear and the crew ran back to their hotel.”
Two people allegedly smashed up part of the hotel’s foyer.
Murray denied earlier reports that the crew were taking footage of Todd River, where some Indigenous people often gather to drink, when the incident took place.
None of the film crew was injured during the incident.
Cordell Jigsaw previously produced Go Back to Where You Came From for SBS ONE.

I can see the promos now!
Would they do the same on Bondi Beach?
BTW I grew up in Alice Springs for over 10 years.
Should be good footage for “Dumb, Drunk and Racist”?
Joe Hildebrand is working on this project. Why? The ABC seems to be enamored with this “funny man”. It is inexplicable. People have convinced themselves that they need to laugh at the words that come out of his mouth. What luck.
