Santo, Sam & Ed’s Sports Fever: Feb 27

Sports Fever! talks to Bathurst Winner Rick Kelly ahead of this weekend’s Clipsal 500 Supercar Race.

Tonight Santo, Sam & Ed’s Sports Fever! appears Live in its new 8:30pm timeslot on 7mate.

The show talks to Australia’s youngest-ever Bathurst Winner Rick Kelly ahead of this weekend’s Clipsal 500 Supercar Race in Adelaide.

However, instead of its 10:30pm broadcast on Seven, it is now pushed back to 11:30pm. In fact the Seven replay is no longer even noted in the Publicity Release.

Since 2009, Rick and older brother Todd have formed the Kelly Racing/Jack Daniel’s Racing Team driving Holden Commodores but next year they introduce Nissan racing cars into a sport usually dominated by Holden and Ford.

With Santo, Sam & Ed’s Sports Fever! shifting to 8.30pm AEDT on 7Mate tonight, this week’s program also features the new version one of the most beloved segments of Cup Fever! – Mark Bresciano’s Cup Diary. Australia’s favourite son of the round ball game, Socceroo Mark Bresciano, shares his feelings and describes his daily routines in Mark Bresciano’s World Cup Qualifier Diary.

And a week after the former Sheffield Shield cricketer and hard-hitting columnist Billy Knight gave his memorable take on the state of Australian cricket, Santo, Sam and Ed will interview a new sporting sensation via satellite from the US…

Produced by Working Dog and broadcast live from Channel Seven studios, Santo, Sam & Ed’s Sports Fever! dissects global sports news and events in a hour-long program each week. It consists of well-informed discussion, ill-informed analysis, pre-recorded clips, guest interviews, shonky impersonations, surprise cameos and live sketches. In short, it’s a left-field review of all the weekly sports actions, with a focus on the latest weekend results, hosted by Santo Cilauro, Sam Pang and Ed Kavalee.

Mondays at 8.30pm AEDT live on 7Mate.

  1. I caught the show last night after missing out on the last two; the show is definitely getting a lot better – the three of them seem much more comfortable and conversation flows a lot more naturally.

I also think the move to 7Mate is very smart – the show appeals to the 7Mate demographic, and it’s replayed on 7 later anyway. Hopefully it’s the start of a trend of properly structured secondary-to-primary multi-channel programming.

  2. “Mondays at 8.30pm AEDT live on 7Mate.”

It was advertised as been shown at 8:30pm AEST in Brisbane (i.e. on an hour delay from the AEDT broadcast)

The ICE TV Guide also shows this.
