As more Pilots get the go ahead in the US, there are some familiar names with new projects.
J.J. Abrams (Lost, Alias, Fringe) teams with One Tree Hill creator Mark Schwahn for
Shelter, set at an historic New England summer resort. New and returning staff attend to the practical, emotional and often comical needs of the guests while navigating friendships, rivalries and romances of their own. This one is headed for The CW network.
ABC has ordered Pilots from Desperate Housewives‘ Marc Cherry and the writers behind Heroes and Prison Break.
Desperate Housewives‘ showrunner Cherry, meanwhile, will write and executive produce Devious Maids, a soapy drama based on the Mexican format that follows four maids with ambition and dreams of their own working for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills. With that title, it sounds like Cherry has a never-ending drawer of “adjective-noun” scripts….
Zero Hour comes from Prison Break‘s Paul Scheuring and revolves around a bizarre twist of fate that pulls a man who’s spent 20 years as the editor of a skeptics magazine into one of the most compelling conspiracies in human history.
Heroes writer/co-EP Michael Green has Gotham which revolves around a female cop who discovers a magical world that exists within New York City that is unseen by normal humans and reinvents popular landmarks in a magical otherworldly manner.
Other Pilots this season include projects from Greg Berlanti (Brothers and Sisters), Josh Schwartz (The OC, Gossip Girl) and Twilight‘s Melissa Rosenberg -to name a few.

Thanks anyway
David, do you know when Devious Maids will be here in Australia? Is it most likely to be on foxtel? I was just wondering as season 2 premiers on the 20/4 (devious day) as they call it. Thanks
Nobody has mentioned it for Aus sorry.

Better be careful with the snideness David… remember he gave old Nicolette Sheridan a big slap for her attitude (allegedly)
