Executive changes at TEN

TEN's Chief Operating Officer Kerry Kingston has resigned after 8 years in the role.

TEN’s Chief Operating Officer Kerry Kingston has resigned after 8 years in the role and 10 years with the network.

Melbourne-based Kingston will be replaced from April 2nd by Jon Marquard, who joined the network late last year as Commercial and Legal Director.

“It’s not possible for me to relocate to Sydney at this point in time,” Kingston said. “After 10 great years at TEN, it is a good time to try something different. I will take some time off, spend time with my family after a hectic year, and then look for new challenges.”

Tony McMaster is also appointed as Chief Marketing Officer. The former Director of Marketing at McDonald’s Australia is currently a relationship director at marketing services group Aegis Media Pacific.

Kingston will leave in late April.

CEO James Warburton said the appointments were part of a series of changes designed to make Network TEN a more potent and competitive business.

“Jon’s promotion and Tony’s appointment are important steps in the re-setting of our management team,” Warburton said. “I’d personally like to thank Kerry for his important contribution to the company over the past decade and wish him all the very best for the future.”

  1. “spend time with my family” – Oh come on…how many times in the past month has that been used?
And I love the constant misuse of that word “resigned”.
