Leonard Nimoy as Big Bang guest

"Mr. Spock"-obsessed Sheldon is about to have a dream come true. Minor Spoilers.

Minor Spoilers: He’s been touted as their “dream” guest star and now Leonard Nimoy will appear in a dream sequence on The Big Bang Theory.

TVLine reports Nimoy will feature as Star Trek‘s Mr. Spock in voice-only, speaking to Sheldon (Jim Parsons) in an episode to air in the US later this month.

Sheldon’s obsession with Nimoy has been a recurring theme on the show. In Season 2 episode, Penny gave him a napkin autographed by the sci-fi legend for Christmas and in the show’s 100th episode, he received a life-size cardboard cut-out but was horrified to discover it was the Zachary Quinto feature film Spock.

Nimoy has largely retired from on-camera acting, but had a voice on Fringe and a Bruno Mars music video.

  1. And we’re kinda over looking the most recent Star Trek movie which featured Mr. Spock… which Sheldon and the guys missed as they are in the arctic that summer 🙂

  2. This tapes next week in the US, can’t wait to read the spoilers that come out.

So what is Nine going to do with showing new eps, they only have 8 left in the season. And given the current US schedule they will run our of new eps in 3 weeks. This one won’t air until March 29 in the US. The soonest this can air here in April and it appears the final eps won’t be airing in the US until May for sweeps month. Guess we’re in for a lot of re-run over the hiatus, not that has stopped Nine. Currently they have aired the show well over 100 times since Jan 1st.

    Live long and repeat!
