Actress Maureen McCormick is one of many celebrities who have paid tribute to the memory of Davy Jones, but hers means more given his guest appearance in The Brady Bunch.
Jones was actually 27 when he went to the prom with 16 year old Marcia Brady in “Getting Davy Jones.”
“Davy was a beautiful soul,” she said in a statement.
“[He] spread love and goodness around the world. He filled our lives with happiness, music, and joy.
“He will live on in our hearts forever. May he rest in peace.”
Jones died of a heart attack this week, aged 66.
Meanwhile, The Partridge Family‘s David Cassidy, who followed in Jones’ footsteps as a teen heartthrob, said “I lost a very good friend today. We lost a true talent, one that the world really didn’t understand. He was much more than just a Monkee.”
He said Entertainment Tonight was set to interview him, and he planned a tribute to Jones at an upcoming show.

@ryaneco: no, I actually commented to my workmate that Marcia Brady would be very upset!
He was on a brady bunch re run about a day or two before he died.
Is it wrong that when I heard of his passing all I could think of was Marcia Brady?
