MasterChef premiere for late April?

MasterChef may not necessarily be launching on the date everyone has been tipping.

There’s been a fair bit of speculation about when TEN may launch MasterChef, with some tipping Logies night, April 15. The Voice also kicks off then, while Dancing with the Stars is also due.

But yesterday TEN asked media to “Save the Date” of April 23 for a Melbourne launch for the show.

So it seems unlikely the fourth series will premiere before this date.

  2. I remember last year’s launch episode only getting around 1.5 million against the Logies which was considerably lower than the previous year.

    Seemed to kick off a season of bad press for MC with that so I think it’s wise to let Nine enjoy one of the few wins they’ll have this year and allow the Logies to go unchallenged.

  3. Yeah I’d almost go as far as saying early May. I think TBL probably has 5 full weeks left ahead of it (particularly after trainer comments on Wed’s ep), so if it was to start any earlier, Masterchef would potentially not be able to be shown in the traditional 7pm timeslot.

  4. Last night one of the trainers said only 6 weeks to go on the biggest loser, they still have 6 contestants left and more are coming back on sunday and they usually take the final 5 on a trip so i rekon end of april
