Monday Reality check

Reality contestants were sent packing last night on two shows: My Kitchen Rules and The Biggest Loser.

Sam and Jillian “potential-in-laws” (what a strange title) lost out on MKR to Victorians Thomas and Carla.

Teams were cracking under the pressure in MKR headquarters last night, with the show focussed on conflict at the expense of cooking. But both teams appeared to serve up some pretty appetising dishes.

“I’ll remember the happy times, going around Australia,” the 22-year-old said. “Our instant restaurant was the biggest highlight. It’s been really fun.”

Jillian, 55, was equally positive about their experience. “We’ve loved every minute. I’m really proud of Sam. It’s brought us even closer together. I’m disappointed we’re leaving because I wanted us to stay.”

Meanwhile 20 year old Hamish Elliot was eliminated from TEN’s Biggest Loser battle.

He entered the competition weighing in at 148.7kg, lost only 3kgs this week, and was up against house favourite Graham Pilson, “I do feel as though I was a sitting duck, especially since Luke had left. I’ve immediately felt as if there has been a target on my back to get rid of me and to wipe out the blue team.”

He also left behind new girlfriend, 24 year old Michelle Cortesao.

With Elliot’s exit, trainer Shannan Ponton is now without a team…

  1. Glad Graham got to stay as he needed to be there, but I put him in the same category as Selena (who I was rooting for in the beginning) – lazy and a complainer.

Would have been nice to see Hamish stay a bit longer just to see how he and Michelle got on.

Anyway, I’m ready to see Margie leave! She thinks she owns the place.
