Saturday Disney moving to 7TWO

After two decades on air, Saturday Disney moves to 7TWO this weekend.

After two decades on air and over 1000 episodes, Saturday Disney moves to 7TWO from this Saturday. And here we were thinking it was a channel chockful of British content.

Hosts Shae, Candice and Nathan serving up their regular segments including double dog dare, minute madness, question of the week and letter of the week. But there will be a new look opener and logo.

The switch begins as The Morning Show begins weekend editions from 9am this Saturday.

Disney favourites Wizards of Waverley Place, Shake It Up, Pair of Kings and new episodes of I’m In The Band, Sonny With A Chance will continue to screen, with the much-anticipated new series A.N.T Farm screening later in the year.

Next month, the team leaves the Disney house and heads to the sunny shores of Coffs Harbour.

In 2012, Saturday Disney has been nominated for a Logie for Most Outstanding Children’s Program.

Saturday Disney airs on 7TWO at 7am commencing this Saturday March 31.

  1. I’m so sick of these breakfast morning TV shows. I don’t have digital TV in the Bedroom but enjoy snuggling in with my girls to watch Saturday Disney with them. I guess there will be no ratings for 7 or any free to air TV channel from my house on Weekends any more.
    Morning shows suck!

  2. I saw this coming after they started showing Disney shows weekdays on 7TWO and 7MATE, not to mention Toasted TV being bumped to ELEVEN after the launch of Breakfast. Seems like the programming execs are loving digital channels cause they can move their child content and replace it with “higher rating” programs. Obviously the programming execs don’t pay too much attention to their own children, cause if they did they would realise they own the TV remote until they get a social life, computer, mobile, and drivers license (atleast that’s how it was in my house =p).
