SKY News hosts People’s Forum on Queensland Election

Queensland Premier Anna Bligh and Liberal National Party Leader Campbell Newman face an audience live on SKY News.

Tonight SKY News will host a People’s Forum on the Queensland Election as Premier Anna Bligh and Liberal National Party Leader Campbell Newman face an audience at the Broncos Leagues Club in Brisbane.

A Press Release notes it will air live at 8.00pm tonight AEDT, which means 7pm where it really matters in Queensland.

For the first time in the Queensland 2012 election campaign, voters will have the chance to question the two key party leaders directly in a nationally televised event.

SKY News and The Courier Mail have invited Premier Anna Bligh and Liberal National Party Leader Campbell Newman to appear under the same roof at a People’s Forum at the Broncos Leagues Club in Brisbane.

In one of the most intriguing state campaigns of recent years, 200 undecided voters chosen by Galaxy Research will question Ms Bligh and Mr Newman separately on their policies and vision for Queensland. The forum will be televised live around the country by SKY News from 8.00pm AEDT (7.00pm QLD) hosted by political editor David Speers.

Each leader will spend one hour with voters before being given the opportunity to return at the end of the forum for rebuttal.

SKY News’ coverage will include expert analysis from political reporter Laura Jayes who will be joined by QLD2012 reporter Tom Connell, The Courier Mail’s state political reporter Steven Wardill and the paper’s national affairs editor Dennis Atkins.

SKY News Channel 601 at 8.00pm tonight AEDT.
