Bumped: Top Gear

2 Broke Girls comes back into Nine's schedule. Changes also for Unforgettable.

Nine has pushed tonight’s Top Gear from 9:30pm back to 10pm and returned 2 Broke Girls to the schedule.

Johnny’s girlfriend has a devious plan in mind when she hires Max and Caroline to bake cupcakes for an art show featuring his work.

It has scheduled the same again for next Tuesday night.

Caroline and Max spend Caroline’s first broke holiday season working at a department store’s Santaland to earn extra money.

Meanwhile, Unforgettable, which was originally a premiere episode tomorrow at 10:30pm will now be a repeat.

The first-run episode is now scheduled to air next Wednesday, April 25, at 10:30pm.

A serial killer with knowledge of Carrie’s memory skills taunts her and the police department, as his list of victims grows.

  1. I would rather Nine put on double two broke girls instead of bombarding us with this same old top gear with the same old pompous hosts year after year. Those Dumb Girls were more entertaining than James May and Company anytime of the week.

  2. Ironically GO! is now showing the current series on Monday’s at 7:30, now doesn’t that time slot sound familiar?

Yes They have screwed the show badly, IMO it should be on earlier and Mondays could have made all the difference. I’m sure BBT fans would follow the show to another night.

  3. Nine ignored comments made here and elsewhere when it was first announced that they had secured Top Gear. Rightly or wrongly, people felt that they had stolen TG from SBS but, more importantly, they listed what they thought would be the things that would irritate them and cause them to not watch.

Nine’s programmers clearly thought that they knew much better than “idiots on the internet” and duly went about giving them their usual level of disrespect by inserting old specials into the first series to stretch it out and then moving it around the schedule. The ratings started out very good but soon started falling as Nine’s disdain for its viewers became obvious.

I won’t watch it on Nine any more and I suspect there are others who feel the same way. Nine should cut their losses and sell the rights to whatever they have left back to SBS. SBS can then put it back on at 7:30 where it belongs.

  4. The EPG was never updated here (WIN Rockhampton) it usually comes up in capitals like this if there is a change. So didn’t record it and missed it. Knowing Nine/WIN they will repeat it again on GO!.

  5. I’m not sure Nine can take all the blame. I just think people are over Top Gear in general. I know I am. While originally I loved it, the the more I watched the more I hated those 3 guys, and their increasingly stupid antics. Full of themselves basically. I would not be surprised to hear many people have similar complaints.

  6. It’s a shame – Nine totally wasted the outrageous amount of money they paid for both the UK rights and the licensing rights for the local version.

Some shows work better on other networks – bring it back to SBS!

  7. Nine has been killing Top Gear for a while now, this is just the official burial.

Interesting that they feel the need to force people to watch 2 Broke Girls by sandwiching it between Big Bang and top Gear. The thing must be rating like a dog. Not altogether hard to work out why….

  8. @Craig, When it was announced on TV tonight that Top Gear went from SBS to Nine, a lot of posters made comments that Nine would stuff it up.
Nine has tendency to pinch stuff then well and truly ruin it.

  9. Nine has officially killed Top Gear!

Monday on GO! they showed the India special (from the start of this series) at much better time of 7:30pm. Nine should have been doing this from the first week the series started to get more viewers for the show. Dumb, dumb, dumb!

  10. Looks like it bogues. But at least TBBT and 2 1/2 men were funny. The first time around. (ok not so much 2 1/2 men. But that show is better than 2 broke girls.)
