Legal case for Jason Gann returns to court

Actor Jason Gann is being sued for damages following an assault in 2007.

A legal case involving actor Jason Gann proceeds to court this week, following two earlier adjournments.

Gann is being sued for damages by bus driver Joseph Hosny, 55, who was assaulted while working as a shuttle bus driver at the Derby Day races at Flemington in 2007.

Gann pleaded guilty to criminal assault in May 2008 but received a bond without conviction.

WorkCover is also suing Gann to recover loss-of-income payments and medical costs incurred.

The Sunday Age reports he could be served with the warrant in the US to face civil proceedings if he fails to front.

Gann is now based in Los Angeles where he films the US adaptation of Wilfred.
