Australia is set to get a local version of German game show in which women gamble on the abilities of their partners for the chance to win a prize.
My Man Can, from SevenOne International, features four wives and girlfriends who set ‘challenging and bizarre tasks’ for their male partners to perform. If the man does it, she wins a cash prize.
ITV will produce the format for the UK market. It has has already been sold into about 40 countries worldwide, with local remakes in Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, Denmark, Lithuania, China and South Korea.
ITV Studios has also sold the format rights to Australia. SevenOne International also sold Beat the Star, which would suggest Seven may have picked up the rights to My Man Can. Maybe they should just revive Man O Man?
Meanwhile CBS has picked up the rights to UK series The Audience which sees an individual at a crossroad, allowing an audience of 50 ordinary people to follow them around for a week to find out where the trouble really lies. The show uses the wisdom of the crowd to get to the bottom of one individual’s personal dilemma.

From the people who brought you “Please For The Love of God, Marry My Boy!”?
So now men are being treated as circus animals to do tricks on demand?
Well this show sounds like quality entertainment.
What on earth has happened to television?
