Returning: The Celebrity Apprentice Australia

Nine's hit Reality series Celebrity Apprentice begins later this month with Mark Bouris and another $100,000.

Nine’s hit Reality series Celebrity Apprentice begins later this month with Mark Bouris and another $100,000 on offer for charity.

The show begins at 8pm Wednesday April 18, following The Block.

Originally planned as one of the network’s 7pm shows for 2012, it is now believed to be airing twice weekly -but that’s not confirmed.

Together with The Block and The Voice, Nine will be smothering us with Reality TV after Easter.

This season also introduces Dane Bouris, son of Mark Bouris, replacing Brad Seymour as a boardroom advisor alongside Deborah Thomas.

In Celebrity Apprentice, some of Australia’s best known and most controversial celebrities will be working to raise money for their various charities.

The Apprentice Australia’s Mark Bouris, one of the country’s most successful and high-profile businessmen and Chairman/Co-Founder of wealth management company Yellow Brick Road, will helm the new series.

This time, joining him in the boardroom are:

International superstar David Hasselhoff
TV and cabaret entertainer Patti Newton
TV star Ian “Dicko” Dickson
Controversial former AFL player Jason Akermanis
Next Top Model judge Charlotte Dawson
Glamour sportswoman Lauryn Eagle
TV presenter Ben Dark
Bollywood actress Tania Zaetta
Celebrity cook Marion Grasby
Comic Vince Sorrenti
Reality TV star Nathan Jolliffe
Comedienne Fiona O’Loughlin

At stake is $100,000 for the winning celebrity apprentice’s charity.

All of the (in)famous contestants will be competing in challenges by using their fame, their contacts and anything else they can think of to win for their respective charities.

The celebrities will be subjected to long hours, taxing mental challenges and intense scrutiny, all without their usual safety net and support team of agents, managers and personal assistants.

Wednesday, April 18, at 8.00pm.

  1. Not having watched this or Block, I gather this screens straight after an hour of Block so perhaps the usual no no of starting a program on the hour after 7.30pm doesn’t apply. Still, it will be hard to pick up additional viewers from other stations who will be in the middle of their program.

  2. What a tragic line-up of ‘celebrities’…why can’t we just have a normal series of The Apprentice where the contestants would actually care if they won or not. And are you really gonna tell me they will fire Hasselhoff until maybe right at the end of the series?
