The Slap nominated for BAFTA Award

The Slap is up for a BAFTA Award against Modern Family, The Killing and Borgen.

ABC’s The Slap has been nominated for a BAFTA Award.

The miniseries will compete in the International category against Modern Family from the US, and The Killing and Borgen both from Denmark.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts, which divides its awards into separate Film and Television award events, has chosen ITV1’s miniseries Appropriate Adult as its most nominated programme. The dramatisation of the investigation into serial killer Fred West picked up four nominations for Leading Actor (Dominic West), Leading Actress (Emily Watson), Supporting Actress (Monica Dolan) and Mini Series.

BBC’s Sherlock and This is England ’88 tied in second spot, recieving three nominations each.

  1. Have seen Appropriate Adult and was chilled for over 2hours. Very sad and moving. Good look to the Slap, up against stiff competition. Maybe we can have Borgen here on SBS and can’t wait for The Bridge.
