Foxtel confirms new Project Runway judges

Fashion designer Peter Morrissey and fashion stylist Claudia Navone join Project Runway Australia host Megan Gale and mentor Alexy Perry for Season 4.

Foxtel has confirmed rumours about new judges for Project Runway Australia as fashion designer Peter Morrissey and fashion stylist Claudia Navone.

Production on the fourth season of the Reality show has begun in Melbourne at Whitehouse Institute of Design.

Megan Gale returns as host and Executive Producer along with mentor Alex Perry.

“I am thrilled to be back for another season of Project Runway Australia with my great friend Alex Perry. Last year was an amazing experience and it is incredible to see and discover the extraordinary fashion talent we have in Australia,” said Gale.

“Being back on the show with Alex is fantastic and I am looking forward to working alongside our new judges, Peter Morrissey and Claudia Navone. Once again, we are ready and raring to go to unearth Australia’s next cutting-edge fashion designer”.

Morrisey and Navone, who have both judged on the show before, will be joined each week by a third guest judge.

The series, produced by FremantleMedia Australia, will premiere on Arena later this year.

Renowned fashion designer, businessman and entrepreneur, Peter Morrissey has been at the forefront of the Australian Fashion industry for over 25 years. Cementing his dominance in the cut-throat world of fashion since 1997, his chic, beautifully cut, sophisticated designs secured him as a major fashion player on the world stage.

Claudia Navone is a woman with an eye for style. With over 20 years experience in the fashion industry, Claudia has worked as a professional stylist with high-profile labels such as Ralph Lauren and Prada – styling the likes of international models including Helena Christensen and Naomi Campbell. Along the way, she’s also made her mark in the publishing world with coveted positions as the Fashion Director of the Sunday Times in London and the Fashion Director of Harper’s Bazaar Australia.

After an extensive search across Australia, twelve of the country’s most talented up and coming designers have been chosen to stitch and bitch their way through a series of skill-testing challenges that could see them catapult straight to the top of the world’s fashion industry.

Winner of Project Runway Australia season three, Dylan Cooper last week showed his debut collection on the world stage at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia. This exciting new season boasts some of the toughest competition the series has ever seen and a brand new panel of industry experts who will be joined each week by a guest judge.
