SBS begins a new three-part series with all sorts of creepy, crawly, slimy creatures filmed up close and in slow-mo for Speed of Life.

The first episode captures some dazzling imagery of the daily struggles of both predators and prey in their ongoing fight for survival in the American Southwest. But be warned, sometimes it’s decidedly squeamish!

Speed of Life is a new three-part series that uses high speed photography to capture the amazing, lightning fast intricacies of daily life for animals and insects around the planet. In particular, it focuses on predators and prey, showing remarkable detail and breathtaking footage that you wouldn’t believe.

Each episode focuses on a different region, and all of the various animals and interconnected ecosystems that call that region home. The three regions include the American Southwest, Central America and East Africa.
