Go Back wins another international award

Go Back to Where You Came From has won another international award, this time the award for Social and Humanitarian Documentaries at the Banff World Media Awards (The Rockies) in Canada.

It follows the coveted Golden Rose award in Switzerland in May, one of the highest accolades for a television program, as well as a Logie for Most Outstanding Factual program.

Banff World Media Awards recognised the series for the way it dealt with the significant social and humanitarian subject of refugees and asylum seekers, as well as the related issues of poverty, justice, human rights, crime and discrimination.

The Banff World Media Awards attracts upwards of 1,000 entries from more than 30 countries.

A new series is expected on SBS in August.
