Amongst those recognised in today’s Queen’s Birthday Honours were entertainers Rolf Harris and Aunty Jack’s Grahame Bond, TV nature veteran Harry Butler and the former CEO of Film Victoria Sandra Sdraulig.
OFFICER (AO) IN THE GENERAL DIVISION
Dr William Henry BUTLER CBE, Willetton, WA. For distinguished service to the community through the promotion of public understanding of natural history and wildlife conservation, to the development of collaborative environmental partnerships with industry, and to the community.
Rolf HARRIS AM OBE, London, Britain. For distinguished service to the performing and visual arts, to charitable organisations, and to international relations through the promotion of Australian culture.
MEMBER (AM) IN THE GENERAL DIVISION
Grahame John BOND, Paddington, NSW. For service to the performing arts as an actor, writer and composer, and as a supporter of aspiring artists.
Sandra SDRAULIG, Glenside, SA. For service to the arts through the promotion of the Australian film industry, particularly through leadership roles with the Adelaide Film Festival, Film Victoria and the Melbourne International Film Festival.
