Sarah Murdoch to host TENs new dance show

Former host of Australia's Next Top Model, Sarah Murdoch, will host Everybody Dance Now for TEN.

Sarah Murdoch is locked in to host TEN’s new talent search Everybody Dance Now.

Murdoch quit as host of Australia’s Next Top Model earlier this year amid speculation she was headed for TEN where husband Lachlan Murdoch is network Chairman.

Amongst the titles that have been rumoured as vehicles are The Project, an unconfirmed local series of Fashion Star and Everybody Dance Now.

Set to air on TEN later this year, the series sees dancers of all ages, all styles, including solo dancers, duos, groups, professional and amateur vying for a $250,000 cash prize.

TEN is currently holding auditions around the country with Melbourne rounds to take place this weekend and Sydney a week later.

Murdoch will front the series for FremantleMedia Australia, a move which sees her step aside from Shine Australia, established by sister in law Elisabeth Murdoch.

TEN would neither confirm nor deny Murdoch as host, with a spokesperson telling TV Tonight, “We’re thrilled with all the speculation around who our host will be however we won’t be announcing anything just yet.”

  1. It’s so nice that Lachlan Murdoch doesn’t believe in nepotism.

Just curious – Ten axed SYTYCD – a very enjoyable dance comp show – because????

Oh wait – SYTYCD tanked in it’s final season because Ten stuffed it’s scheduling.

Much like what they did to YTT earlier this year.

Seriously – who’d want to invest in Ten knowing the board celebrate when they come in Third???

  2. As long as they don’t reveal the results into her ear piece … she’ll be fine

Also, I thought Elisabeth Murdoch sold Shine to NewsCorp
