NBC executives are negotiating in secret on plans to replace co-anchor Ann Curry on the Today show, the New York Times reports.
Curry, who has been with the show for around 14 years, has been in doubt for some time, especially after ABC’s Good Morning America began toppling the iconic show from its ratings.
Some at NBC were unhappy with her co-hosting style before that.
Matt Lauer recently signed a new deal but NBC executives began discussions with Curry about moving her into a different job at the network.

I hope she doesn’t go. She’s the only real reporter on NBC/ABC in the mornings.
“negotiating in secret…….”
Um. It’s all over the Internet.
Poor thing.
Her “good morning, good morning” clip still has me in stitches to this day…..
She was always my favourite. 🙁
I’ve always found her to be very warm…but not very ‘perky’ which i guess you really need to have that co host job
plus I bet NBC knew they’d be paying through the nose to keep Matt therefore thought they could save a bit of money by shifting Ann across the desk
She has got to go
