TEN’s kid’s series Totally Wild marks its 20th Anniversary this week, the longest running C classified children’s show in Australia.

The show began in July 1992 as a weekly children’s half-hour magazine program hosted by Ranger Stacey, Ranger Tim and Trudy Smith uncovering the hidden story of Australia’s wild landscapes.

Since then the Brisbane-based series has covered an array of adventures from sunrises over Uluru, Australian wildlife and even episodes in Antarctica.

Totally Wild has launched TV presenting careers for Dr Katrina Warren, Tim Bailey, Sami Lukis, Wes Denning, Faye Delanty, Shaun Murphy, Shae Brewster, Craig McMahon and more.

Stacey Thomson, better known as Ranger Stacey, has acted as mentor to new presenters including the current crop of Pip Russell, Adam Cox, Natalie Hunter, Josh Perring, Kayla Banfield and Kale Brock.

It airs at 4pm tomorrow on TEN.

  1. I remember watching ‘Ranger Stacey’ on Wombat way back in the late 80s, good to see she’s still kicking around in TV land. Well done to the show for reaching 20 years.
