Eric Sykes died earlier this month and many remember him for his classic comedy, The Plank, a silent 1967 film which he remade for Thames Television in 1979.
7TWO is screening this one tonight, and it’s a hoot with slapstick gags from beginning to end.
Eric Sykes reprises his role and the cast includes Jimmy Edwards, Kenny Lynch, Harry H. Corbett, Bernard Cribbins, Diana Dors, Liza Goddard, Frankie Howerd, Wilfrid Hyde-White, Joanna Lumley, Brian Murphy and Reg Varney.
8:50pm tonight on 7TWO.

So sad that it took dear old Eric Sykes’ death for Seven to be jolted into screening this classic. But thank you anyway. RIP Eric Sykes, a unique talent from the golden era.
True comedy gold.
One of my favorite movies. Been searching for it for a while now, so glad they are playing it.
