Ad revenue down slightly in first six months

Seven topped the ad revenue share for the first six months of 2012, with drops for Nine and TEN.

Commercial TV body Free TV Australia has released advertising revenue results for commercial networks for the period of January to June 2012.

Seven’s share rose from 38.1% to 40%, Nine fell from 34.9% to 34.5% and TEN dropped from 27% to 25.3%, compared to the same period last year.

The three had a combined revenue in the first six months of $1.82bn, down 1.15% for the same period in 2011 (does not include SBS).

  1. Ten has lost the plot. This is a shocking result especially since the prior CEO spruced they would do a 32% share. No momentum, little ratings, the Olympics, no AFL – they will be lucky to break a 22% share in the back half. Maybe the new Sales Director will fix it !
