Airdate: MasterChef Australia All Stars

TEN has now confirmed the premiere of MasterChef Australia All Stars plus the finale for MasterChef.

TEN has now confirmed the premiere date of MasterChef Australia All Stars, its three week season of former MasterChef champs returning to the kitchen.

It premieres at 7pm Thursday July 26th.

This follows the 2 hour finale for MasterChef Australia at 7pm Wednesday July 25. This year there will be three fighting for the series title.

TEN has filmed all but the judging for the finale, which takes place on the day itself.

All your favourite MasterChef contestants from seasons past return to the MasterChef kitchen once more for the first ever, MasterChef All Stars! Julie, Kate, Marion, Hayden, Callum, Poh and more, step back into the kitchen in the name of charity. Eager to raise as much money as they can for their charity of choice, the All Star Top 12 battle with a smile as they take on the first challenge of the series, and what a challenge it is! A croquembouche no less!

The dish overwhelmingly nominated as the hardest in MasterChef history, first up? Surely not? Yes, it’s for charity, but we never said this was going to be easy. It’s All Stars!

Adriano Zumbo sets the challenge and there is a buzz of fun energy in the MasterChef kitchen. The contestants love being back, but they want to win. It’s all about friendly competition as the three teams [determined by seasons] bake and build their impressive croquembouche tower, with the winning team taking home $20k [$5k for each team member’s charity].

  1. Really looking forward to this, the only thing that I dislike is that Adam is not apart of the team from 2010. But other then that, can’t wait!!!!!!

  2. Ten have really screwed Masterchef this year, sending 10 people to to itally last week and this week getting rid them all just because of their new Masterchef allstars show , the immunity pin is worth nothing nothing now,

  3. @JarrodJ: you are wrong. Most of the finale was filmed last month. The judges tasted the food there and scored the dishes, but they won’t reveal the scores to the contestants and guests (and viewers) until July 25. It is just like the past two years when the winner’s announcement was filmed just hours before it went to air on TV. Which raises the next question: since the winner’s announcement will be filmed on the Wednesday afternoon, surely the producers can invite reporters from newspapers and AAP to watch the taping and write reports, but put the reports in embargo until the winner is revealed at night (AEST), similar to the arrangement for the annual Federal Budget lock-up. This way people in regional areas will be able to read the reports in major newspapers the next day, instead of waiting for two days due to early deadline for the 1st edition.

That’s gonna be some stale food that they’re going to have to judge..

  5. @Craig, yes, I believe All Stars will air at the same time as the Olympics.

Good move to have three contestants in the MC grand final, it will make it more interesting.

  6. Quite amazed @ the finale on a wed, surley a sunday would pull more viewers.
Ten need to be very smart with this, i bet they show a nothing show after it and dont capitalise on mc. New ncis l.a 9.30 would be a good move, then back to 8.30 week after.
