This week in the third and final “In Conversation” episode of At the Movies, the guest is composer Ennio Morricone.

He’s scored too many films to list, but The Mission is a personal fave of mine.

Next week At the Movies resumes its normal format.

This week David Stratton speaks to the legendary Italian film composer, Ennio Morricone – who has been responsible for some of cinema’s most influential film soundtracks.

Morricone has worked with such directors as Bernardo Bertolucci, Sergio Leone, Terrence Malick, Brian Di Palma, John Carpenter, and many, many more.

Recorded live at the Adelaide Festival, this is a rare opportunity to hear from the composer of over 400 soundtracks.

10pm Wednesday ABC1.

  1. I can’t wait for this but I’ll have to catch it on iView later – there’s a Patrick Stewart live (albeit from London) Q&A in Sydney tomorrow night!
