Episodes uncut on GO!

Episodes is screening without editing on GO! on Thursday nights.

A number of readers have pointed out that Episodes is screening without editing on GO! on Thursday nights.

Last week it included the scene from the first episode with Richard Griffiths’ complete audition scene intact.

This week there are two 45 minute episodes of Episodes (including ads) airing back to back from 10pm Thursday night.

I’m enjoying this series lots…

  1. Just finished watching on nine. Loved the show, but quite bizare that a series has started and ended in 3 weeks. At least one of tonights Episodes must have been uncut as all up it finished at 11.45.

  2. has anyone actually seen any ads for Episodes on GO? cause I usually have my TV on GO a lot of the time and haven’t seen any. seen plenty for Hard Times of RJ, Fringe and such and at all times of the night so you would think they’d advertise the hell out of ‘uncut/extended Episodes’ exclusive to GO! but then again this may draw viewers away from Nine’s airings.

but GO really should be airing Curb Your Enthusiasm with Episodes. that would be a great pairing! but instead are the usual Big Bang/2.5 Men before Episodes and Hard Times of RJ. I must say its nice to have a comedy lineup on a Thursday night on Go when theres nothing really on for younger audiences on the main channels. its actually been sticking this year, Community and RJ Berger etc.

  3. Tonight in Melbourne (on Nine) we’re getting no less than 3 episodes tonight? 10pm through to 11.30… great show but Nine’s scheduling is just bizarre.

Why couldn’t they just have aired it on Nine unedited in the first place?

  4. I watched some of the first episode. You know, I think the cut the prologue bit set in LA and just started with them winning the Bafta in the UK. I could have just turned on at that point….

The one thing I noticed and it was really obvious there was a cut from them finding the basket on their doorstep to them driving the car in LA.

Removed the entire scene in their house discussing if they should go. Which is a good character moment. Helps set up why they took the job. Also shows Bev was going because Sean really wanted it.

    I turned off shortly after.

  5. How do the cut down versions go on 9? Aren’t there gaping holes in the storyline? I never understand what gets cut when a show is edited to fit a 30 minute block.
