Kristin Chenoweth was injured by scaffolding while working on The Good Wife in New York this week.

Kristin Chenoweth was taken to a hospital after being injured while working on The Good Wife in New York this week.

Chenoweth, who has a recurring guest role, was hit on the head by scaffolding and transported by ambulance, the actress’ rep confirmed to the Associated Press.

A production source told TMZ Chenoweth was struck by a piece of lighting equipment knocked over by a gust of wind, and then she hit her head on the concrete when she fell.

She appeared to be “knocked out cold,” a witness told TMZ. The witness says, “I thought she was dead at first.”

A New York Fire Department official told AP that she was being treated for “minor injuries.”

Chenoweth was diagnosed about five years ago with Meniere’s disease, which she said can cause vertigo and affect her balance.
