Now that the Modern Family adult cast have settled their salary dispute, four of the five younger actors are looking to tackle their contracts.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that that representatives for Rico Rodriguez, Nolan Gould, and Ariel Winter, have had conversations about banding together in a manner similar to the adult negotiations.

Sarah Hyland, 21, who plays Haley Dunphy, will also renegotiate her contract, but she had a string of film and TV credits including Lipstick Jungle and One Life to Live, so she is said to already make more than her younger co-stars.

Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, 5, who joined the show last season as Lily, plays a smaller role and is not likely to receive a big raise.

Sources indicate that a 10 year-old actor on a first-year network series likely earns between $10,000 and $12,000 per episode but after the first season, the kids likely received small salary bumps, and it’s unclear if they renegotiated previously.

  1. This was all calculated.

It’s standard when shows become popular that they renegotiate contracts. Often there’s a bit of theatrics like this.

A suggestion for TV Tonight would be a story on what TV actors get paid now. With some historical ones thrown in.

From successful shows, to cable shows, to shows on the bubble.

  2. Lilly was easy to replace as she was a baby, the other kids not so much.

I agree they deserve much more, the network and studio will be making an absolute mint from the advertising and DVD/online sales plus syndication when it comes.
